Truckster in Atlanta…day 3

Best chicken and waffles in town!

Best chicken and waffles in town!

Our final day in Atlanta brought us to a few key spots in the area. In the morning, Adam and I ate at Gladys Knight and Ron Winan’s Chicken and Waffle. I found it on MTV’s top 15 things to do in Atlanta so we had to check it out (it was actually in the top 5). Something about Grammys and food seemed like a great combo to me and it really paid off! I ordered the “Midnight Train” with an “Uptown” to drink. This delicious breakfast consisted of 4 fried chicken wings, one waffle, syrup, butter and hot sauce—all washed down with a mix of sweet tea and lemonade. I’ve never had such an “eclectic” mix of food before for breakfast, but after today I’m sure it won’t be the last time. It was awesome!

Terrapin Brewery

Terrapin Brewery

In the evening, we went to Athens, GA to Terrapin Brewery. I used to drink Terrapin beers in different cities across the south a few years ago and was really excited to see the brewery was in Athens. It’s a local brewery that has sampling at the end of the week with live bands playing. We had a great time outside listening to the band “NoStar” and relaxing with visitors at the brewery. People were really impressed with the Truckster and couldn’t seem to believe we are actually driving it around the country. Sampling at the Brewery is great because they have a large open field where you can play frisbee, cornhole, throw a football or just sit with a group of friends. What could be better??

Tomorrow, we head to Myrtle Beach, SC. I’m looking forward to getting back to the coast and possibly hitting some waves!
