Seafair FanFest with Truckster

Seattle's Space Needle

Seattle's Space Needle

Today was the first day of the roadtrip where Steph and I both wore pants! It’s not that we walk around in our underwear, we just haven’t worn anything but shorts all summer. The morning started in a chilly haze that called for jeans (apparently this is normal in Seattle) and we were told by many it would “burn off” by afternoon. It did just that. Good thing, because we were outside at Seafair FanFest in preparation for tonight’s Torchlight Parade.

During FanFest, we were accompanied by Jennifer Miner who is a luxury travel writer, mother and very entertaining person to have around! We showed her cool handshakes and the Truckster, she showed us great pizza!

Part of the FanFest included a lot of Truckster fans PLUS a flash mob! For those of you who don’t know what a flash mob is, it’s a large group of people who band together, usually through social networking, to perform a group task (dancing, shouting similar things, acting in character, etc.). To everyone’s surprise, the flash mob hit with little warning so you’ll find it placed at random points throughout the fan appreciation video posted below.

Tomorrow, there is a free “National Lampoon’s Vacation” screening at Columbia City Cinema and we will be there! It’s at 11 a.m. so come by if you’d like to see a real movie star.
